Nigerian Pharmacists Honored
Howard University Continuing Education (HUCE) held award ceremonies to honor Nigerian community pharmacists who took part in training programs designed to enhance their knowledge about the management of diseases. One ceremony, held July 6 at The Sheraton Abuja in Nigeria, honored pharmacists who had completed a year-long skill certification program titled, “Training for Community Pharmacists on HIV/AIDS, Opportunistic Infections and Sexually Transmitted Infections.” Another ceremony, held July 13, applauded the efforts of three clinicians from the Nigerian Ports Authority who completed a five-day training program titled, “Current Trends in the Management of Diabetes Mellitus.”
