Projects Regional Outreach Addressing AIDS through Development Strategies (ROADS) Funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) through a five-year cooperative agreement, the Regional Outreach Addressing AIDS through Development Strategies (ROADS) Project began in August 2005. The project is designed to reduce HIV transmission, improve care, and reduce the impact of HIV and AIDS along major transport corridors in East Africa. Recent News: Ninety Four Pharmacists Trained in Tanzania In the first quarter of 2007, the Howard University Pharmaceutical care And Continuing Education (PACE) Center trained 94 pharmacists and drug shop operators in Makambako and Tunduma, both in the African country of Tanzania. As part of the training, community health leaders in Tanzania were instructed on referral and counseling for antiretroviral therapy. The PACE Center.s involvement through the ROADS project is part of a larger effort, titled SafeTStop, which aims to promote quality HIV services. Full Article![]()
